From the bench to the business
I started in neuroscience research at Wyeth, where my work on ischemia and neuroprotection produced peer-reviewed publications from 1996 to 2000. Over the next two decades I moved from generating evidence to building the strategies, capabilities, and organizations that put evidence to work for patients — across Novartis, Eisai, and Pfizer.
Making AI real in healthcare, early
Years before generative AI, I led the enterprise IBM Watson alliance to apply cognitive computing to clinical-trial matching — partnering with Mayo Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and MD Anderson, work later reflected in a 2020 JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics paper on AI eligibility screening. I learned what much of the industry is learning now: in regulated healthcare, the model is the easy part. Governance, workflow, and trust are the work.
Leading at the intersection
Today I lead medical planning and impact at Pfizer, building the governance and enterprise strategy that align Global and US Medical Affairs. Along the way I’ve built digital transformation roadmaps, stood up enterprise platforms, and led alliances with academic medical centers and technology partners. I hold a PhD in Health Science Leadership and an MBA, and I was named to MM&M’s “Top 40 Healthcare Transformers” in 2016.
